Box Score The Lancaster Bible baseball team won its fifth straight game on Friday as they hammered Cazenovia, 18-11 in Cazenovia, N.Y. The five-game winning streak is the longest streak since the 2010 season when the Chargers also won five straight games.
The offense powered Lancaster Bible to the win on Friday as they had 21 hits and many of the Chargers had their best offensive games of the season. Senior
Matt Taliercio was up to his old tricks as he went 5-for-5 with two home runs, five runs scored and five runs batted in. Junior
Nate Long was 2-for-4 with five runs batted in and three runs scored. Four of Long's five RBI came thanks to his grand slam in the sixth inning. The grand slam was the second of Long's career as he hit one last season against Cairn.
Jimmy Eagan reached base all six times he came to the plate on Friday as he was 4-for-4 with two walks. Eagan also scored three runs for the Chargers who improved to 13-17 overall and 5-11 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play. Senior
Kody Godsey was 3-for-6 with three RBI and two runs scored.

Caleb Mayer and
Micah McClay also had two hits each for the Chargers who qualified for the NCCAA East Region Playoffs thanks to their victory. Lancaster Bible needed to finish the regular season with at least a .400 winning percentage and its victory on Friday ensures them of reaching that mark.
Taliercio's five hits give him 51 for the season, which ties the program record for hits in a season which is held by Lancaster Bible Head Coach
T.J. Horn. The only other Lancaster Bible player to have 50 hits in a season was Paul Greco who had 50 in 2012. His two home runs on Friday give him 11 on the year, which ties his school record which was set last season.
The Chargers will wrap-up the regular season on Saturday when they take on Cazenovia two more times. Game one Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled to begin at noon.
