Schedule Highlights: Lancaster Bible begins its 42
nd season on August 29 as they host Penn St. Harrisburg at Charger Field...The Chargers will hit the road for three games following their home opener as two of the three games are NEAC games in New York against Cazenovia and Morrisville State...After two home games against Bryn Athyn and powerhouse Stevenson, the Chargers will once again have three straight road games at Penn St. Berks, Cairn and Widener...The game against the Nittany Lions will be on the new turf field, under the lights in Reading, Pa. on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m...Following the Widener game, the Chargers will host Baptist Bible on Homecoming, Sept. 27 and then play four of their next five games at home...Three of those four home games are NEAC games that feature Penn College (Oct. 11) and SUNY Cobleskill and SUNYIT on Oct. 17-18...Lancaster Bible will wrap-up its regular season in New York on Oct. 24-25 against Wells and Keuka...The NEAC Quarterfinals will be the following weekend, while the NEAC Final Four will be Nov. 8-9 at the top seed.

Season Outlook: The Chargers welcome 18 new players to the squad this season...A collection of local players as well as foreign players make up the new class as there are 12 different states or countries represented on this year's team...Lancaster Bible has missed the NEAC playoffs the past two seasons, a streak they hope to see come to an end this year...Two trips to New York during NEAC play will make that a difficult task, but if the young guys can produce goals and the defense can come together, advancing in the NEAC Playoffs should be a goal of this year's squad.

Notes: The Lancaster Bible men's soccer program has played 669 games in its history...Lancaster Bible is 12 wins short of 300 in program history...Despite some of their recent NCCAA postseason success, the Chargers have not had an overall winning season since 2010 when they went 12-10...Lancaster Bible has had just one losing season at Charger Field since 2007 when they went 2-6-1 in 2012.
