The Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team saw its two-match North Eastern Athletic Conference winning streak end in Reading, Pa. on Tuesday night as Penn St. Berks defeated the Chargers, 3-0.
The Nittany Lions had defeated the Chargers earlier this season in five sets, but on Tuesday Penn St. Berks was able to earn the victory in three sets as they won, 25-20, 25-14, 25-23.
Senior
Katie Coomber led the Chargers with 11 kills on 29 attempts against no errors. Coomber, who was named NCCAA Division II East Region Player of the Week earlier in the day, had her third straight match in which she had zero or one errors.
Freshman
Myranda Kemrer added 10 kills as well, while junior
Hannah Derr had two aces to go with her 22 assists.
The Chargers (7-7, 2-2 NEAC) return to the court on Thursday when they take on Mount Aloysius in Cresson, Pa. at 7 p.m.
