Chargers End Regular Season with Tri-Match Split

The Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team capped its regular season with its second straight tri-match split as the Chargers lost to Catholic, 3-0, before rebounding to defeat Eastern Mennonite, 3-1. The Chargers end the regular season with an overall record of 14-15 and their 7-5 record in North Eastern Athletic Conference play has earned them a playoff spot, though their opponent in the NEAC Quarterfinals has not been determined. The NEAC Quarterfinals and the rest of the NEAC Playoffs, will be held at top-seeded SUNY Polytechnic which clinched the top spot on Saturday afternoon.

By the Numbers: Alyssa Bowen led the Chargers with nine kills, while Lauren Grimm and Grace Scheuerman each had a team-high 16 digs...Myranda Kemrer added 12 digs, while senior Hannah Derr had 16 assists...Emily Olson and Hannah Gipe each had four blocks and Kemrer led the team with three aces.

Information Hodge Podge: Catholic leads the all-time series, 5-1...Lancaster Bible 11 block assists were a season high.

By the Numbers: Kemrer was one of three Lancaster Bible players with double-digit kills as she paced the Chargers with 13...Olson had 11, while Bowen added 10...Gipe had another strong match with seven kills, against one error on 29 attempts and she added 14 digs and an ace as well...Scheuerman had a team-high 20 digs as she had 20 or more digs in a match for the eighth time this season...Derr had 43 more assists and 11 digs...Bowen and Olson each had three blocks.

Information Hodge Podge: The win was Lancaster Bible's first over Eastern Mennonite as the Chargers are now 1-2 all-time against the Royals...Lancaster Bible has three players with over 200 kills as Kemrer (255), Bowen (232) and Olson (213) have all eclipsed the mark.
