The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team ran into the buzzsaw that is Penn St. Abington on Tuesday as the Chargers lost to the North Eastern Athletic Conference's best team, 9-0 at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. The Nittany Lions improved to 12-1 overall this season and 5-0 in conference play, while the Chargers dropped to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in NEAC competition.

Brianne Smith played well at number one doubles, but eventually lost to Gabrielle Eberhardt and Sheena Philip, 8-5. Adams lost to Eberhardt at number one singles as well, 6-2, 6-2, while Philip went on to defeat Lancaster Bible's
Kayla Weaser, 6-1, 6-3 at number three singles.
Stephanie Blest lost to last week's NEAC Player of the Week, Honestee Sphabmixay, 6-3, 6-1 at number four singles, while
Malinda Roth played one of her better matches of the season in a 6-4, 6-3 loss at number five singles.Â
Lancaster Bible is right back on the court on Wednesday as the Chargers head north on Route 222 to take on Penn St. Berks in Reading, Pa. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.Â
