The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team wrapped up its second North Eastern Athletic Conference weekend of the season on Saturday and the Chargers split their two matches which were held at Penn St. Berks in Reading, Pa. Lancaster Bible lost in five sets to Morrisville State in its opening match, but rebounded to defeat SUNY Cobleskill, 3-0. The Chargers are now 6-11 overall and 3-3 in NEAC action.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible jumped out to a two-set lead after taking the first two sets by identical 25-21 scores, but Morrisville State fought back and narrowly won the third set, 25-22. After the Mustangs rode their momentum to a fourth set victory, they cruised in the fifth set and jumped out to a 12-4 lead, before winning, 15-6.
By the Numbers: Morrisville State led the Chargers in team kills, 51-43 and digs, 74-64...Junior
Alyssa Bowen had a match-high 14 kills and a .355 hitting percentage, while freshman
Ashtyn Bouslog had 10 kills and 12 digs...Junior
Myranda Kemrer had 23 digs and a team-high three aces...Junior
Hannah Gipe added six kills and six digs.
The Coach Says: "It's disappointing to lose after being up two sets," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
Lauren Bewley said. "I thought we played well for most of the match, but not at the top of our game. I think we were a little scared of losing in the final three sets and were too hesitant."
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 4-2 all-time against Morrisville State...The match was the first five-set match of the season for Lancaster Bible.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible overcame some sloppy play throughout the match and swept the Fighting Tigers to earn one win during the NEAC Weekend.Â

The Coach Says: "I thought we were a little sloppy with our play, but were able to get the job done and get a win," Bewley said. "Today is a bit disappointing, but we have to recover and mentally process what we need to improve upon in order to play well on Monday."
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 6-0 all-time against SUNY Cobleskill...The Chargers are 5-7 away from Horst Athletic Center this season.
