The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday in Chester, Pa. as the Chargers lost to Kentucky Christian and host Widener by identical 3-0 scores. The Chargers are now 8-14 overall and just 5-9 away from Horst Athletic Center this season.

25-22, 25-17, 25-14
How it Happened: The first part of the opening set went back-and-forth, but Kentucky Christian rattled off five of six points midway through the set to take a 20-15 lead. The Chargers did their best to get back into the match and cut their deficit to 22-20, but couldn't complete the comeback and lost 25-22. Kentucky Christian put the pedal on the floor and cruised past Lancaster Bible in the final two sets.
By the Numbers: Kentucky Christian had 40 kills, while the Chargers had just 26...Junior
Alyssa Bowen led the Chargers with nine kills, while
Ashtyn Bouslog had five kills and three digs...Sophomore
Hannah Thompson had a match-high 20 digs...
Hannah Gipe had four kills and four digs.
Information Hodge Podge: This was the first all-time meeting between the two teams...This was just the second time all season the Chargers went an entire match without a block.

How it Happened: Widener led early and often as the hosts quickly dispatched the Chargers in three sets. Lancaster Bible could never get its offense rolling as the Chargers had just 18 kills, while Widener had 50.

Emily Olson each had a team-high four kills...Thompson led the Chargers in digs with seven, while Bouslog and
Myranda Kemrer each had six...Freshman
Allison Shuey had 17 assists...Olson also added two blocks.
