The Lancaster Bible baseball team wrapped up its spring break trip on Friday with a loss to Mount Aloysius as the Mounties won, 10-8 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Chargers went 3-3 on their spring break trip and have an overall record of 4-6 after Friday's loss.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible got on the board first as junior Justin Taylor singled home Hunter Gray who led off the inning with a double. Mount Aloysius tied the game in the top half of the second, but the Chargers came roaring back with four runs in their half of the second. After RBIs from Gray and Josh Mayer, Taylor hit his eighth home run of the season as he connected on a two-run home run that scored Mayer.

The Chargers increased their lead to 7-1 in the bottom of the third as Jensen King and Gray had RBI hits. King singled home Braden Elliott to make it 6-1 and Gray followed with a double that brought King around. Mount Aloysius got two runs back in the top of the fourth on a two-run home run, but the Chargers answered right back with a run in the bottom of the inning on an RBI by senior Erich Carroll.

The Mounties got back into the game in the fifth inning as they scored four runs to make it an 8-7 game. Lancaster Bible loaded the bases in its half of the fifth, but couldn't convert and retained its 8-7 lead. Mount Aloysius took its first lead of the game in the sixth inning as they plated two runs, the second coming on a bases loaded walk that made it a 9-8 game.

Mount Aloysius added an insurance run in the top of the eighth to make it 10-8 and for the second time in the game, Lancaster Bible left the bases loaded in its half of the eighth as the Mounties kept their two-run lead. Lancaster Bible brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth, but couldn't convert.

Inside the Box Score: Gray, Taylor and King all finished with three hits...Gray had two RBIs, while Taylor added three...King and Mayer each scored two runs, while Mayer was 2-for-3 from the plate and knocked in a run as well...Carroll finished 2-for-4 and JJ Sanchez ended his day 1-for-3 with a walk and run scored...Lancaster Bible had 16 hits to the Mounties' 13, but six errors from the Chargers proved to be their undoing.

Extra Bases: Lancaster Bible is now 1-12 all-time against Mount Aloysius...Taylor has 18 hits in 10 games this season and is batting .486...Taylor has 11 extra-base hits and his eight home runs lead the conference.
