The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team lost its second straight match on Wednesday as the Chargers lost to Lycoming, 8-1 in Williamsport, Pa. The Chargers are now 1-3 this season, while Lycoming improves to 2-6.Â
Lycoming won all three of the doubles matches and opened up an early 3-0 advantage. Lancaster Bible's
Hannah Zehall earned the lone Lancaster Bible point on Wednesday as she won her number three singles match. Zehall defeated Lycoming's Allyson Dugan, 7-5, 6-4 and Zehall is now 4-0 this season in singles play.Â
The rest of the singles matches were decided, 6-0, 6-0 and the Chargers were forced to forfeit number five and six singles.
Lancaster Bible will open North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Friday as the Chargers host Penn College at 3:30 p.m. The match will be played at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa.
