The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team was held off the scoreboard for the third consecutive match as the Chargers lost to Penn St. Berks, 9-0 on Wednesday at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. The Chargers fall to 2-7 overall and 1-3 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Nittany Lions improve to 3-7 overall and 3-0 in conference action.
Lancaster Bible's number one doubles team of
Morgan Adams and
Stephanie Blest lost 8-3, while the number two team of
Kayla Weaser and
Hannah Zehall lost their match by the same score.Â
Penn St. Berks won three singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores, while Lancaster Bible number one singles player,
Morgan Adams lost her match, 6-4, 6-2. Sarah Wetzel suffered a 6-1, 6-0 loss at number six singles and Zehall dropped her number three singles match, 6-2, 6-0.
The Chargers are back in action on Friday at 3 p.m. when they travel to Aurora, N.Y. to face Wells.Â
