Game 1
Lancaster Bible 18, SUNY Polytechnic 4

How it Happened: The Chargers used their momentum from Saturday's late night and blasted SUNY Poly, 18-4 in game one. Lancaster Bible scored six times in the top of the first as the Chargers sent 11 batters to the plate in the opening frame. The Chargers had just two hits in the inning, but used six walks to help jumpstart the offense. Jensen King had a hit, an RBI, drew a walk and scored a run in the opening inning, while Brian Niedergall had the other Lancaster Bible hit.

The Chargers added two more runs in the second inning and took an 8-2 lead into the fifth inning when they scored five more times. King batted twice in the inning for the second time in the game and led off the inning with another walk and scored again. JJ Sanchez hit a two-run double that highlighted the inning and the Chargers cruised the rest of the way, winning by 14 runs.

Through all of the offense, Lancaster Bible starting pitcher Nate Burns pitched tremendously as he went six innings, scattered six hits and allowed just two earned runs. He struck out three and improved to 3-2 this season.

Inside the Box Score: King finished 3-for-5 with four runs scored and two walks...Josh Mayer was 2-for-5 with three runs scored...Justin Taylor was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI...Will Welsh was 0-for-3, but walked twice and reached on an error twice and scored four runs...Braden Elliott knocked in four runs as he went 2-for-5...Lancaster Bible had 13 hits and drew 13 walks...Zach Bonick pitched two scoreless innings and Nate Staffieri threw a scoreless ninth inning.

Game 2
SUNY Polytechnic 5, Lancaster Bible 0

How it Happened: After scoring double digit runs in the first three games of the New York trip, the Chargers' bats went silent as SUNY Poly blanked the Chargers, 5-0 in game two. The Wildcats scored twice in the bottom of the first off of Lancaster Bible starter Zack Leonard, but Leonard calmed down following the inning, as he pitched 4 1/3 innings and scattered nine hits while striking out two.

Lancaster Bible had just five hits in game two and its best chance to tie the game came in the top of the fourth as Welsh and Erich Carroll reached base on back-to-back singles with two outs, but they were stranded there and SUNY Poly scored three more runs in the fifth inning to put the game away.

Inside the Box Score: Carroll finished the game 2-for-3, while Niedergall, Mayer and Welsh had the other Lancaster Bible hits...Mark Sherriff and Tyler Greenly pitched 1 2/3 innings of scoreless ball in relief of Leonard.

Extra Bases: Lancaster Bible is now 4-7 all-time against SUNY Poly...Game two marked the third time this season the Chargers were shutout.
