The Lancaster Bible women's tennis team made its lone New York trip of the season on Friday and Saturday and despite playing well, lost twice to its North Eastern Athletic Conference counterparts to the north. The Chargers dropped a 7-2 decision on Friday at Wells and lost, 5-4 on Keuka on Saturday as the Chargers spent two days around the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. Lancaster Bible is now 2-9 overall and 1-5 in conference play.

Wells 7, Lancaster Bible 2
The number one doubles team of Morgan Adams and Stephanie Blest won their match as they defeated Brooke Benedetto and Yuna Furusawa, 8-6. Kayla Weaser and Hannah Zehall fell just short in their number two double match as they lost, 8-6. 

Zehall got back to her winning ways in singles play as won her match at number four. Zehall defeated Nicole Sanborn, 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) and improved to 7-3 overall in singles play this season. Morgan played well at number one singles, but ended up losing, 6-2, 6-3. 

Wells improved to 4-5 overall and 3-1 in NEAC action with the win.

Keuka 5, Lancaster Bible 4
The Chargers got off to a great start as they took two of the three doubles matches. Adams and Blest won again as they defeated their opponents, 8-4. Weaser and Zehall played another close match and this time came out on top as they took down Allison Williams and Melissa Mason, 9-8 (8-6). 

Morgan played well again at number one singles as well as her match went back-and-forth, but she fell just short as she lost to Heidi Van Buskirk, 7-5, 6-7 (2), 6-4. Blest won her singles match at number three singles as she defeated Amanda Murray, 6-4, 6-1. Zehall won again at number four singles and improved to 8-3 this season with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Mason. 

Lancaster Bible is set to host Trinity on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
