Heading into their six-game Spring Break road trip that took them from Pennsylvania to Virginia, then to Tennessee, then back to Virginia, the Lancaster Bible College baseball team was not firing on all cylinders. In fact, they were firing on very few cylinders.
They were 0-4 and had been drubbed in all four of those games by Dickinson and Gallaudet. After dropping the opening game of their spring break road trip, 15-3 to Eastern Mennonite, it appeared their week-long trek south was going to be a long one.
After coming back from an early 2-0 deficit and defeating the Royals, 4-3 for their first victory of the season, the Chargers reeled off four more wins against Johnson Bible and Christendom to push their record to 5-5. LBC did not reach the .500 mark until April 28 last season when they started the year 0-7. The Chargers will now play 12 of their next 15 games at LBC after playing their first 10 away from Lancaster. The Chargers are 18-16 over the past two seasons at LBC.
Here are the recaps of the other four games from the Chargers' spring break trip.
