The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss on Wednesday night at Haverford as the Fords won, 25-19, 25-10, 25-16. The loss drops the Chargers to 1-5 this season, while Haverford improved to 5-2.
How it Happened: After trailing early in the first set, 8-3, the Chargers fought back and tied the match at 10-10, with the last two points coming off service aces from
Natalie Kennedy. Lancaster Bible continued to hang tough in the first set with the Fords as the Chargers rattled off four straight points to climb back to within one at 18-17. The Fords were able to turn the momentum again however and won seven of the final nine points of the set to earn the 25-19 victory.
The Chargers took an early 4-3 lead in the second set, but Haverford won the next seven points to blow the set open and after Lancaster Bible closed the gap to 17-10 later in the set, the Fords won the final eight points and cruised to a 25-10 win.
Lancaster Bible kept the third set close, but ultimately couldn't string enough points together to take the set and the Fords won, 25-16.

The Coach Says: "Haverford was one of the better blocking teams we have played all season," Lancaster Bible Head Coach
Lauren Bewley said. "Our serving was aggressive and consistent, but we struggled on the serve receive at times and didn't pass well at different points of the match."
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 0-3 all-time against Haverford...Wednesday marked the first time all season the Chargers have had a negative hitting percentage.
