The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team lost its second straight match on Thursday as the Chargers fell to Lycoming, 3-0 in Williamsport, Pa. The Chargers are now 10-12 this season, while the Warriors improved to 12-12 after the 25-23, 25-17, 25-19 victory.
1st Set Highlights:
-Lancaster Bible took a 14-11 lead after a kill from freshman
Aleah Heyworth, but Lycoming won the next four points to grab a one-point advantage
-The Chargers eventually took a 19-18 lead, but five straight points by the Warriors gave them a 23-19 lead, and though the Chargers cut the deficit to one on two different occasions, Lycoming pulled out the set, 25-23
2nd Set Highlights:
-Lycoming opened the set with a 13-5 run and never looked back, winning the set, 25-17
-The Warriors had 15 kills against just three errors in the set
3rd Set Highlights:
-Lycoming took an early 7-2 lead, but the Chargers won eight of the next nine points and grabbed a 10-8 lead
-Lancaster Bible led 15-11 later in the set, but Lycoming slowly chipped away at its deficit and took a 19-18 lead after an error by the Chargers
-After Lancaster Bible tied the set at 19-19, Lycoming won the final six points of the match and took the set, 25-19
