The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team took part in a tri-match with two of the better teams in the surrounding area on Saturday, as the Chargers lost to Muhlenberg and McDaniel in Westminster, Md. The Chargers are now 12-15 overall, while Muhlenberg improved to 22-4 and McDaniel is now 16-6.

The Big Moments:
-Lancaster Bible pulled to within 10-8 in the first set, before Muhlenberg won eight straight points to grab an 18-8 advantage
-After dropping the second set, Lancaster Bible jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the third set
-The Chargers maintained a lead throughout the third set, though Muhlenberg cut its deficit to 22-20, but Lancaster Bible took advantage of three errors by Muhlenberg and won the set, 25-21
-Muhlenberg opened the fourth set by winning 15 of the first 18 points and cruised to the victory
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 22 kills, but committed 29 errors...Muhlenberg had 47 kills and just 18 errors...Junior

The Big Moments:
-After dropping the first set, Lancaster Bible raced out to a 6-1 lead in the second set
-With Lancaster Bible leading 8-3 in the second set, McDaniel won eight of nine points to take an 11-9 lead
-The Chargers trailed just 15-14 later in the set, but once again, the Green Terror won eight of nine points and put the set away
-The teams battled back-and-forth in the third set and Lancaster Bible took a late 19-18 lead before McDaniel won five straight points for a 23-19 advantage
-Not to be outdone, Lancaster Bible then won five straight points to grab a set point at 24-23
-After McDaniel fought off the set point, Lancaster Bible earned another on a kill from
Aleah Heyworth, but the Green Terror erased that as well, and then won the next two points to earn the 27-25 victory
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 22 more kills, but once again were crushed by errors, as the Chargers committed 28...McDaniel had 31 kills...Gipe once again led the Chargers in kills, this time with five, while
Ashtyn Bouslog and
Bekah Roberts each had four kills...Kemrer had a career-high 33 digs in the match, while Shuey added nine digs and 18 assists...
Lauren Grimm and
Erin Harkey each had two aces for the Chargers.
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 0-2 all-time against McDaniel...Kemrer's 33 digs are the third-most in program history...Lauren Heliger ('13) holds the program-record for digs in a match with 36, which she had against Ohio Christian on Sept. 15, 2012...Kemrer is just 105 digs shy of breaking the all-time program record which is also held by Heliger, who amassed 1,778.
Up Next: Lancaster Bible returns to the court on Tuesday when the Chargers host Penn St. Harrisburg at 7 p.m...It will be Senior Night and the Chargers will honor Grimm and Kemrer prior to the match.
