The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team snapped its three-match losing streak on Thursday, as the Chargers dropped the first set against Wilkes, but rallied to win the next three, to grab a 3-1 victory over the Colonels in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. The Chargers are now 8-10 overall this season, while Wilkes dropped to 4-15, as the Chargers won, 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.
The Big Moments:Â
-After dropping the first set and trailing, 7-3 in the second set, the Chargers rattled off seven of eight points to take a 10-9 lead
-The Chargers had to rally again later in the second set, and turned a 15-14 deficit into a 19-16 lead after winning five of six points
-Lancaster Bible then won six of the final seven points of the second set to secure the victory and tie the match at 1-1
-The Chargers won six of hte first seven points in the third set and eventually led, 12-5, before Wilkes tightened it to 12-10
-Lancaster Bible won the next five points and eventually held on for a 25-21 victory in the third set
-The Chargers opened a 21-13 lead late in the fourth set after winning six of seven points and won the set, 25-20
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 48 kills, while Wilkes had 45...The Chargers had 11 aces and 73 digs...Sophomore
Ashtyn Bouslog led the Chargers with 21 kills, and also had three aces and three blocks...Senior
Myranda Kemrer had a team-high 24 digs, while junior
Hannah Thompson had 16 digs...Junior
Erin Harkey chipped in with 12 digs and had a team-high four aces...Junior
Hannah Gipe had nine kills and sophomore
Allison Shuey added six kills, six digs, two blocks and 36 assists.

Jacki Smith said. "We handled adversity early and continued to execute our game plan, despite dropping the first set."
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 4-1 all-time against Wilkes...The Chargers defeated the Colonels, 3-1 last season in Lancaster, as well...Bouslog's 21 kills are a new career high and the most for a Lancaster Bible player since Kemrer had 22 against Cazenovia in September of 2015.
