Chargers Sweep Home Tri-Match

The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team returned home for the first time in over two weeks on Saturday and swept a tri-match with Wilson and Eastern Mennonite. The Chargers defeated Wilson, 3-0 in the morning match, to improve to 5-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, and then beat the Royals, 3-1 in the final match of the day. After Saturday, the Chargers are 10-10 overall this season and the aforementioned, 5-1 in conference action.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 29 kills against just 11 errors against the Phoenix, while Wilson managed just 12 kills and committed 15 errors...Junior Hannah Gipe had a team-high eight kills, while sophomore Ashtyn Bouslog had six...Suzanna Whiting had a team-high 13 digs, while Allison Shuey added 20 assists...Junior Erin Harkey had a career-high eight aces, which is the most in a single match since Katie Coomber had 10 on Oct. 4, 2014.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 13-2 all-time against Wilson...Harkey leads the Chargers with 50 aces...Last year's team-leader was Bouslog and she had 48.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 38 kills, while Eastern Mennonite had 32...Each team had seven aces, but Chargers held an 88-52 edge in digs...Bouslog (15) and Gipe (10) each had double-digit kills for the Chargers, while Bouslog also added 18 digs...Senior Myranda Kemrer had a team-high 25 digs, while Shuey had 36 assists, four blocks and 15 digs...Freshman Bekah Roberts had three blocks to go with her nine kills.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 2-3 all-time against the Royals...The Chargers also defeated Eastern Mennonite, 3-1 during the 2015 season...Lancaster Bible lost 3-1 to the Royals last season...In four matches this week, Bouslog had 46 kills and 25 digs.
