The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team wrapped up its regular season on Sunday as the Chargers fell to Penn St. Abington, 8-1 on Senior Day. The Chargers finish the regular season, 6-5 overall and 4-2 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while Penn St. Abington, the top team in the NEAC, is now 6-5 overall and 5-0 in conference play.
Penn St. Abington took all three doubles matches to open the match with a 3-0 lead. Lancaster Bible's top pair, 
Greta Strunk and 
Lynndath Thelemaque lost, 8-4, while flight two pair 
Brianne Smith and 
Kayla Weaser fell, 8-3. The flight three team of 
Stephanie Blest and 
Rachel Snyder lost 8-1 to Abington's Sally Phung and Sam Amaro. 
Strunk picked up the lone win for the Chargers in flight one singles as she defeated Honora Heagarty, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Thelemaque dropped her number two singles match, 6-4, 6-1, while Smith fell in flight three singles, 6-0, 6-1. Weaser was defeated 6-2, 6-0 in flight four, while Blest dropped her number five singles match, 3-6, 7-5, 13-11. Sophomore 
Sarah Wetzel dropped her flight six match, 6-0, 6-1 to Amaro.
Prior to the match, Lancaster Bible honored seniors Smith, Weaser, Blest and Snyder. 
The Chargers have qualified for the NEAC Playoffs and will await their opponent as both Penn St. Abington and Penn St. Berks finished conference play with a 5-0 record. The two teams were scheduled to play on Saturday, but the match was postponed due to rain.
