The Lancaster Bible College baseball team split a doubleheader on Sunday at Wells as the Chargers dropped game one, 3-1, but rebounded to win game two, 3-2 in Aurora, N.Y. The Chargers are now 18-12 overall and 8-7 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Express are now 13-20 overall and 4-10 in conference play.
Wells 3, Lancaster Bible 1 -- Game 1:
Game Notes: The game was scoreless through five innings as starting pitchers
Zack Leonard (Lancaster Bible) and Brandon Shirley (Wells) cruised through the opponent's line-up...In the sixth inning,
Sam Taylor was hit by a pitch and
JJ Sanchez followed with a double that brought Taylor around to give the Chargers a 1-0 lead...Lancaster Bible held that 1-0 lead into the bottom of the seventh and after two quick outs, Wells collected back-to-back singles to put runners on first and second...Dylan Nolan, who was 0-for-2 up to that point, homered down the right-field line and won the game for the Express, snapping the Chargers' three-game winning streak.

Gabe Yoder followed with scoreless innings in the seventh and eighth before
Justin Taylor came on to record his third save of the season.
