The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team dropped the final two matches of the Crosstown Crossover on Saturday as the Chargers lost to Franklin & Marshall and Elizabethtown by identical 3-0 scores. The losses drop the Chargers to 0-3 this season.

How it Happened: It was another eventful opening set for the Chargers as they battled back from an 11-5 deficit to knot the first set at 14-14 after an ace from senior Myranda Kemrer. Lancaster Bible trailed 22-20 a few points later, but after a Diplomat error, sophomore Ashtyn Bouslog slammed home a kill to tie the set at 22-22. Lancaster Bible again went down two points, but three straight errors gave the Chargers a set point at 25-24, but they could not convert. The Chargers had another at 26-25, but again couldn't close out the set and then had to fight off a set point for the Diplomats 27-26. F&M finally ended the long opening set, taking advantage of a Chargers' error and then getting a kill from Delaney Hahn to close it out.

The second set was close for a while too, as the Chargers led 11-9 and then trailed just 15-14, before the Diplomats rattled off 10 straight points and won the set, 25-14. The third set was tied 16-16, as the Chargers rebounded from the end of the second set, but once again, the Diplomats were tough and won nine of the last 11 points to earn the 25-18 victory.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had 23 kills, while F&M had 42...Hannah Gipe and Allison Shuey each had five kills to lead the Chargers, while Shuey also had 18 assists and four blocks...Kemrer led Lancaster Bible with 10 digs.

By the Numbers: Gipe led the Chargers with eight kills, while Aleah Heyworth added six kills...Kemrer had 14 digs, while Shuey had six digs, 20 assists and three more blocks.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 0-8 all-time against Elizabethtown...The Chargers are 1-17 all-time at the Crosstown Crossover since the tournament began play in 2012...Lancaster Bible defeated Penn St. Berks, 3-0 during the Crossover in 2015.
