The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team won its fourth straight match on Saturday morning, defeating Penn St. Abington, 3-0 at Horst Athletic Center. The 25-14, 25-22, 25-13 victory sends the Chargers to 16-6 overall, and 7-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Nittany Lions fell to 5-18 overall and 1-7 in NEAC action.

Match Recap: The Chargers raced out to a 7-3 lead in the opening set, as
Bekah Roberts had back-to-back kills following a block assist with
Allison Shuey. The Nittany Lions fought back and trailed, 14-11 midway through the set, but the Chargers won nine straight points, and took a 23-11 to effectively put the set away.
Hannah Thompson had three aces during the 9-0 run, as the Chargers took the opening frame.

Lancaster Bible used another big scoring run in the second set to open a 15-8 advantage, as the Chargers won 10 of 11 points, thanks to key serving and kills from
Ashtyn Bouslog and
Courtney Goyak. Penn St. Abington went on a run of its own and trimmed the Chargers' lead to 20-19. Lancaster Bible held off the Nittany Lions, and leading 23-22, kills from Goyak and Gipe gave the Chargers the set, 25-22.

After splitting the opening points of the third set, the Chargers won eight of nine points, and took a 17-9 lead after an attack error by the Nittany Lions. The Chargers took a commanding 23-10 lead a few minutes later, as an ace from Bouslog and a kill from Gipe put the Chargers on the brink of another win. Gipe closed it out with her 14th kill of the match, and extended the Chargers' winning streak to three.
