The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team played its final North Eastern Athletic Conference weekend of the season, as the Chargers split two matches in Morrisville, N.Y. The Chargers defeated Cazenovia, 3-0, before falling to Morrisville State, the top team in the conference, 3-0.
With one conference match remaining during the regular season, the Chargers have clinched a playoff berth, but their seeding could still change depending on the result of each team's final match. After Saturday, Lancaster Bible is 18-7 overall and 8-2 in NEAC play.

Match Recap: After taking an 11-2 lead in the opening set, and cruising to a 25-12 victory, the Chargers actually trailed 7-5 in the second set, before rattling off 10 straight points to grab a 15-7 advantage. Senior
Hannah Gipe had four kills during the run, and the Chargers took the set, 25-18.
Lancaster Bible won the first 11 points of the third set, and led 20-2 at one point, before Cazenovia won a few of the final points, though the Chargers closed out the set with a kill from
Aleah Heyworth, and won the match, 3-0.
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible held a 27-10 edge in kills, and a 43-28 advantage in digs…Lancaster Bible had 14 aces, and four team blocks…Gipe led the way with 13 kills, while Heyworth had five…
Ashtyn Bouslog had a team-high seven aces, while
Allison Shuey and
Hannah Thompson each had three…Thompson also led the way with 14 digs, while Shuey and
Bekah Roberts had two blocks each.
Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 6-1 all-time against Cazenovia…The 14 aces were a season high, and the third straight match the Chargers had managed double-digit aces.

Match Recap: The Mustangs showed why they have been at the top of the NEAC standings all season long during the first set, as they muscled the Chargers around en route to a 25-15 victory.
Lancaster Bible played much better in the second set, and held a 22-21 lead, but after a block assist and a kill from Amelia Baratier, the Mustangs got an ace from Anna Salamino and took a 24-22 lead. After a Lancaster Bible timeout, the Chargers cut the deficit to one on a kill from
Bekah Roberts, but a service error followed and Morrisville State took the set.
The Chargers led, 4-1 early in the third set, but Morrisville State won 11 of the next 13 points and took a 12-6 lead. Lancaster Bible tried to get back into the set, and cut its deficit to five a few occasions, but could not make the comeback.
By the Numbers: Morrisville State held a 44-27 advantage in kills, and a 39-31 edge in digs…Lancaster Bible led 7-5 in team blocks, while the Mustangs held a 6-4 edge in aces…
Aleah Heyworth and
Ashtyn Bouslog each had seven kills, while
Allison Shuey had two kills, 24 assists, and four blocks…Roberts added five blocks, while Bouslog added three aces.
Information Hodge Podge: The all-time series between the two schools is now tied, 4-4…The loss is the first for the Chargers since Oct. 6, and just the second loss for the team since Sept. 18.
Up Next: Lancaster Bible hosts Marywood on Tuesday at 7 p.m.…Prior to the match, the Chargers will honor their seniors.
