The Lancaster Bible College field hockey team returned home to Donald H. Funk Field for the first time in two weeks on Friday, but Senior Day was spoiled by Sweet Briar, as the Vixens defeated the Chargers, 3-0. The loss drops Lancaster Bible to 0-12 this season, while Sweet Briar improved to 3-8.

Blessing Bowman took a penalty corner for the Chargers, but the home team could not convert, and the game remained scoreless.

Sweet Briar began to take control of the possession after the 10-minute mark, and was rewarded at 19:07 when Brigitte Gorman scored her second goal of the season. Gorman collected her own shot after
Anne VanBuskirk made the first save, and scored between VanBuskirk's legs to give the Vixens the lead.

Sweet Briar controlled play for the rest of the first half, but couldn't score, and Lancaster Bible trailed just 1-0 at the break.

Sweet Briar extended its lead to 2-0 at 42:03, as Emily Myers took a shot from the right side of the circle that bounced and went under VanBuskirk to double the Vixens' lead. Alexis Jones made it 3-0 in favor of Sweet Briar at 51:11, as she cut across the circle and scored into the lower left half of the net for her fourth goal of the season.
