Lancaster Bible Sweeps NEAC Matches

The Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team continued its impressive 2018 campaign with two more victories on Saturday, defeating North Eastern Athletic Conference foes SUNY Cobleskill and SUNY Poly by identical, 3-0 scores. The Chargers are now 9-5 overall and remain perfect in NEAC play at 3-0.

By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible posted 32 kills, while the Fighting Tigers had just 16...The Chargers also added 13 aces and six blocks...Senior Courtney Goyak had a team-high eight kills to go with three blocks, while sophomore Aleah Heyworth added six kills, three aces and 11 digs...Senior Hannah Thompson had a team-best 16 digs, while Ashtyn Bouslog had four kills and 10 digs...Senior Erin Harkey added 11 digs, while Bekah Roberts had three kills and three blocks.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 8-0 all-time against SUNY Cobleskill...The 13 aces tied a season-high.

By the Numbers: Each team posted 25 kills, but the Chargers had 12 aces to SUNY Poly's one, and the Chargers committed just 10 errors, while the Wildcats had 18...Hannah Gipe had a team-high nine kills, while Goyak and Heyworth each had four kills...Allison Shuey had 20 assists, three aces and five digs...Thompson added 25 digs to go with a team-high four aces.

Information Hodge Podge: Lancaster Bible is now 4-4 all-time against SUNY Poly...This is the first time since the 2011 season the Chargers have started NEAC play with a 3-0 record...Saturday is also the first time since 2014 the Chargers have defeated the Wildcats, snapping a three-match losing streak, as the teams did not play last season.
