The Lancaster Bible College improved to a season-best three games over the .500 mark on Tuesday night, as the Chargers defeated Keystone, 3-0 at the Horst Athletic Center. Lancaster Bible is now 13-10 overall this season, while the Giants dropped to 4-8 overall thanks to the 25-22, 25-20, 25-14.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the opening set thanks four early kills and three aces. The Chargers eventually led, 18-9 midway through the set, but Keystone wouldn't go away, and cut its deficit to 22-19 after three straight errors from the Chargers. Lancaster Bible led, 24-22 later in the set, and won the opening frame, 25-22 thanks to
Chloe King's eighth kill of the set.

It was Keystone who jumped out to an early lead in the second set, as the Giants led, 9-6 after kill from Nathalie Ortiz. Lancaster Bible recovered, and tied the match at 12-12, and then took 15-14 lead after another Giants error. Keystone retook the lead, 16-15, but the Chargers rattled off five straight points thanks to four Keystone errors and a kill from
Cassidy King. After Lancaster Bible's lead shrunk to 21-20, the Chargers won the last four points, the final one coming from
Suzanna Whiting who dove for a dig, and put the ball over the net into an open area for a 25-20 set victory.

The third set belonged to the Chargers, as they put ace after ace over the net, including four of their first eight points of the third frame. Lancaster Bible led 15-9 after a kill from
Bekah Roberts, and eventually won the set on a kill from Roberts as well.

Statistically Speaking: Lancaster Bible had 40 kills and 17 errors on 111 attempts for a .207 hitting percentage, while the Giants had 24 kills and 16 errors on 97 attempts for a .082 hitting percentage…The Chargers led in aces, 13-6, and also held a 53-44 edge in digs…
Chloe King led the Chargers with 12 kills, and she had just one error over 20 attempts…
Courtney Goyak finished with six kills, while
Cassidy King had seven kills, two aces and eight digs…
Aleah Heyworth had five kills, four aces and nine digs…Roberts finished with six kills and two blocks…
Ashtyn Bouslog had a team-best five aces, and
Suzanna Whiting had 13 digs.
