The Lancaster Bible College field hockey team won its second straight game on Saturday, as the Chargers defeated Wells, 2-1 in Aurora, N.Y. Lancaster Bible is now 3-7 overall this year, while the Express dropped to 0-8.
Â
How it Happened: Lancaster Bible had ample opportunities to score in the first quarter, as the Chargers had six shots and four penalty corners, but only one shot made it on goal, and it was saved by Wells goalie Sabrina Burns.

The Chargers had three more penalty corners early in the second quarter, but again came up empty, and Wells made the Chargers pay at 22:02, as Whitney Coleman scored her first goal of the year off a feed from Caitlin Lawrence to give the home team a 1-0 lead.
Â
The score remained that way through halftime, but the Chargers got even on the scoreboard 7:48 into the third quarter, as
Cassidy Snedeker scored her first goal of the season off a pass from
Brooke Sareyka. Just 53 seconds later, Lancaster Bible took the lead, as freshman
Macy Balmer scored for the second straight game, and gave the Chargers a 2-1 advantage.
Â
Wells had just one more penalty corner chance the rest of the game and came up empty, as the Chargers dominated play in the second half and controlled the game.
