The Lancaster Bible College baseball team finally opened its 2019 season on Sunday night, as the Chargers suffered a 13-3 loss to Albertus Magnus in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Chargers, who four games cancelled or postponed prior to spring break, are now 0-1 this season, while Falcons improved to 1-0.

-The Falcons got on the board in the top of the first on an RBI single from Brian Clark, and then doubled their lead to 2-0 in the top of the third
-After Albertus Magnus extended the lead to 4-0 in the top half of the fourth inning, the Chargers got on the board in the bottom half of the fourth, as
Beau Heagy doubled home
Adam Cohick who had singled earlier in the inning
-The Falcons got the run back in the fifth inning, and then took an 8-1 lead in the top of the sixth on a two-run double from Elijah Spataj

Colin Myers had an RBI groundout for the Chargers in the bottom of the seventh, and after Albertus Magnus plated four more runs in the top of the eighth, Lancaster Bible senior
Will Welsh hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth to cap the scoring for the Chargers
