The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team got back to its winning ways on Friday, as the Chargers stayed perfect in North Eastern Athletic Conference play by defeating St. Elizabeth, 8-1 in Morristown, N.J. The Chargers are now 6-2 overall and 3-0 in NEAC play, while the Eagles dropped to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in conference action.

How it Happened: The Chargers won all three doubles matches fairly comfortably, as the No. 1 team of
Luke Newberry and
Keven Vallette won, 8-2, and the No. 2 team of
Tyler Norris and
Ming Bowser earned an 8-1 victory. The third doubles team of
Yancy Butler and
Derice Butler also won by an 8-1 margin.

In a match that featured some pro-sets (played to eight) and regular sets due to rainy conditions and having to move the match inside, Newberry won his No. 1 match, 8-0. Norris suffered an 8-5 setback at No. 2 singles, while
Yancy Butler earned a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles.

Bowser won, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4 singles, while
Derice Butler took home a 6-4, 7-5 victory at No. 5 singles.
Chase Evans earned a hard-fought win at No. 6 singles, as he won, 6-4, 5-7, 10-7.
