The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team saw its five-match win streak come to an end on Monday afternoon, as the Chargers lost to Eastern, 6-3 in St. Davids, Pa. The Chargers are now 5-2 overall this season, while the Eagles improved to 5-4.

How it Happened: The No. 3 doubles team of
Yancy Butler and
Derice Butler picked up Lancaster Bible's lone doubles victory, as they defeated Shaun Kline and Nick Humes, 8-3. The No. 1 team of
Luke Newberry and
Keven Vallette dropped their match, 8-5, while the No. 2 team of
Ming Bowser and
Tyler Norris also dropped their match, 8-5.

Newberry ran his singles match winning streak to six on Monday, as he defeated Humes at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Norris lost his No. 2 match, 6-0, 6-0 to Ryan Hamilton, while
Yancy Butler dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision at No. 3 singles. Bowser suffered a 6-0, 6-3 setback at No. 4 singles, and Vallette lost, 6-0, 6-0 to Nick Wool at No. 5 singles. Lancaster Bible's
Chase Evans earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory for the Chargers at No. 6 singles.
