The Lancaster Bible College softball team lost twice again on Tuesday, as the Chargers dropped games to Greenville and Franciscan in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. Lancaster Bible lost to Greenville, 9-1, and then dropped the second game, 8-0 to Franciscan. The Chargers are now 0-4 this season, and after a day off on Wednesday, will play two times on both Thursday and Friday.

-Greenville scored twice in the opening inning for a 2-0 lead, and then scored three more times in the third for a 5-0 advantage
-Lancaster Bible got a run back in the fourth inning, as
Adalyn Steiner singled home
Mekenzie Smith, and the Chargers trailed, 5-1
-Greenville put the game away in the top half of the seventh with four more runs

-The Barons scored four times in the second inning to build an early lead
-Lancaster Bible left a runner on base in each of the first four innings, and then left two on in the fifth inning, after Nelson and McCauley each singled with two outs in the inning
-After the Chargers failed to score in the top half of the fifth, Franciscan scored four times in the bottom half of the inning to end the game

News & Notes: Lancaster Bible is now 1-1 all-time against Franciscan…The Chargers beat the Barons, 9-8 on March 14, 2014, which was the first win for the program since returning the sport to varsity status prior to the 2014 season.
