The Lancaster Bible College baseball team lost its second straight game in as many days on Wednesday, as the Chargers fell to Stevenson, 8-2 in Stevenson, Md. The Chargers are now 0-2 overall, while the Mustangs improved to 7-1.
 
Notes from the Game
-After Stevenson scored in the bottom half of the first, Lancaster Bible tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth inning thanks to a double from Ethan Varricchione that scored Blake Greenly
-Jaden Pinkeny gave the Chargers their first lead of the season in the top half of the fifth inning, as his sacrifice fly scored Nate McFarland
-Stevenson scored four times in the bottom half of the inning however, and led 5-2 after five innings
-The Mustangs tacked on another run in the sixth, and then scored twice more in the bottom of the eighth
 
By the Numbers: Lancaster Bible had nine hits on Wednesday, while Stevenson had 13…Luis Padilla Jr. went 2-for-3 with a walk on Wednesday, while Jake Hahn was 2-for-4 with a walk…Blake Greenly had his first two collegiate hits, as did Varricchione, who was 2-for-4 with an RBI…Lancaster Bible hitters drew five walks on Wednesday…Padilla pitched six innings, and allowed four earned runs, while striking out two…Greenly pitched the final two innings, as he allowed just two earned runs.
 
The Coach Says: "Our mentality is something that we have to address moving forward if we want to be a successful ball team," Lancaster Bible Head Coach Frank DiFilippo said. "And that goes for when we have the lead, and when we are losing."
 
News & Notes: The Chargers are now 0-5 all-time against Stevenson…The Mustangs defeated the Chargers, 19-6 last season in Lancaster…The Chargers are now 0-2 on the road this season, and are 9-21 on the road in the team's past 30 games…Hahn has three hits in two games this season.
