Chargers Collect First Win

The Lancaster Bible College baseball team kicked off its spring break trip in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with a 12-2 victory over Penn St. DuBois on Sunday afternoon. The win is the first of the season for the Chargers who are now 1-2 overall, while the Nittany Lions dropped to 3-1.
 
Notes from the Game
-Jaden Pinkney crushed a grand slam in the top of the first to get the Chargers on the board
-Penn St. DuBois scored in the bottom half of the first, but Pinkney hit his second home run of the game in the third to restore Lancaster Bible's four-run lead
-The Chargers tacked on three more runs in the third, as Colin Myers and Mike VanDame picked up RBIs
-Lancaster Bible scored four more times in the fourth inning as well, as Ethan Varricchione recorded an RBI, as did Jake Hahn
-Trevor High pitched five great innings, as he allowed just two hits and one run, while striking out four
 
By the Numbers: The Chargers scored 12 runs on just six hits, as the team drew 13 walks…Pinkney finished 3-for-5 with five RBIs and three runs scored…Myers and VanDame each had two RBIs…Josh Saufley and Hahn each drew three walks…Josh Noll pitched the final two innings, allowing just one hit.
 
News & Notes: This was the first-ever meeting between the two teams…Pinkney has four hits and six RBI's in his first three games…High is now 1-1 this season, and lowered his earned run average to 4.50.
