How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey Team fell in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action, losing to Notre Dame (Md.) by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday, October 13.
 
After a scoreless opening quarter, the Chargers (1-11 Overall, 0-4 CSAC) would strike first in the second quarter. Off a penalty corner, Amanda Wise passed the ball to Bethany Snyder who tapped the ball over to Molly Gray for the game's first goal. The Gators (2-8 Overall, 1-3 CSAC) would capitalize on a fast break just before half, sending the game tied at one into halftime.
 
In the second half, Notre Dame used the momentum they gained just before half to score a pair of goals, taking a commanding 3-1 lead. The Chargers had more offense in fourth quarter, with Hannah Hoffman and Gray each taking shots. LBC could not cut into the deficit, eventually falling 4-1.
 
Inside The Numbers
- Molly Gray scored the game's opening goal, striking off a penalty corner in the 19th minute
- Bethany Snyder was credited with an assist
- The Gators were led by Nwanneka Udolisa who scored twice
- Notre Dame outshot LBC 17-5
 
Who's Next
The Women's Field Hockey Team will return home to face Keystone College on Saturday, October 16 at 1:00 p.m. The Chargers will also celebrate Senior Day during pregame.
