How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey Team fell to Keystone College in their Colonial State Athletic Conference (CSAC) matchup by a score of 4-0 on Saturday, October 16.
Â
Before the game, senior
Annelise Culbert was honored for her contributions to the program.
Â
The Chargers (1-12 Overall, 0-5 CSAC) would get a quality scoring opportunity in the first quarter when
Hannah Hoffman found
Molly Gray near the goal in the fifth minute. Gray took a shot that missed wide. The game remained scoreless until midway through the second quarter when Keystone's Alex Williams scored. LBC struggled to maintain possession in the second quarter and trailed 1-0 at the half.
Â
Heavy rains rolled into Donald H. Funk Field, slowing the pace of the game in the third quarter. The Giants (10-4 Overall, 4-0 CSAC) would tack on a second goal in the quarter taking a 2-0 lead into the fourth quarter. Keystone would score twice in the final frame to secure the 4-0 victory.
