How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College field hockey team earned their first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) win of the season, defeating Centenary 2-0 on Saturday, October 23.

The Chargers' (2-12 Overall, 1-5 CSAC) offense started rolling early in the first quarter earning a pair of penalty corners in the first three minutes.
Molly Gray would fire a pair of shots but neither reached the goal. In the 12
th minute, Gray would find a wide-open
Rylee Hannon and Hannon would give LBC a 1-0 lead and her first career goal. The Chargers would tack on another goal in the second quarter. After a shot by
Amanda Wise was blocked, Gray would gather in the rebound and blast a shot into the back of the net giving LBC the 2-0 lead. LBC would hold a 2-0 advantage after the half.

The Chargers looked to add to their in the third quarter with Hannon and Gray each firing shots but neither could manufacture a goal. Centenary (2-11 Overall, 1-4 CSAC)Â would close the quarter with a flurry of shots but
Alexis Garrett and the Charger defense were up for the challenge, keeping the Cyclones off the scoreboard. The final quarter would begin with the Cyclones earning four consecutive penalty corners, but the Chargers rose to the occasion denying each opportunity. LBC would hold on to secure the 2-0 victory.

Inside The Numbers
- Molly Gray had a busy day scoring a goal in the 22nd minute and assisting on the other goal
