How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team picked up an important United East Conference victory, defeating Wells College by a score of 2-0 on Saturday, October 16.
 
The Chargers' offense got off to a fast start in the 5^th minute when Devyn Kintzer launched a shot that hit off the crossbar. In the scrum for the loose ball, Tanner Shertzer found Chad Tolson in space and Tolson buried a shot in the back of the net. This was Tolson's seventh goal of the season. LBC would control play in the first half, firing six more shots and earning six corner kick opportunities. Wells' goalkeeper Colton Jaquith made four saves to keep the game 1-0 heading into the half.
 
In the second half, the Chargers would again quickly start, this time with Owen Nell finding Jackson Shreiner for a goal to put LBC ahead 2-0. Shreiner has now scored three goals this season. The Chargers would control play, holding the Express to two shots in the second half and securing the 2-0 victory.
