How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College men's soccer team battled St. Mary's College of Maryland to a 2-2 draw in the team's regular season finale on Saturday, October 30.

The Chargers got off to a rocky start, committing a foul on a corner kick and giving St. Mary's a penalty shot. Owen Smith would convert the penalty kick opportunity, giving the Seahawks the early 1-0 advantage. LBC pressed the attack, looking for an answer. In the 19th minute, Kedric Yoder found an open Michael Eufemia in a dangerous position. Eufemia rocketed a shot into the back of the net, tying the game at one. Having captured the momentum, the Chargers pushed numbers forward, firing five more shots in the half. The game remained tied at one heading into the break.

In the 60th minute, the Seahawks scored again when Jason Caro gathered in a rebound and tapped it into the back of the net. LBC had an immediate response when 20 seconds later, Yoder found Chad Tolson for a goal, tying the game at two. Tolson has scored eight goals this season and Yoder has tallied a conference-leading 11 assists. The teams would combine for eighteen second half shots, but neither could score again, sending the game to overtime. The Chargers could not create any scoring opportunities in the first overtime, but in the second overtime, Cameron Smith fired a shot that missed wide of the net. Yoder launched LBC's final shot, but he could not break the stalemate. The game would end in a 2-2 draw.
