How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team dropped a nonconference matchup with Neumann University, falling by a score of 73-46 on Thursday, December 9.

The Chargers (4-4 Overall, 2-0 United East) got started when
Seth Beers connected on a corner 3-pointer. Neumann (6-3 Overall, 0-0 Atlantic East) would answer using their size in the paint to take an early 8-3 lead.
Jordan Praylow cut into the deficit, knocking down a 3-pointer. The Knights went on a 9-0 run, jumping out to a 11-point lead.
Jakari Wilkins slowed the run, finishing a layup in transition.
Jordan Shewbridge floated a shot from just inside the paint for his first points of the evening, cutting the deficit back down to nine points. After the Knights scored five straight points,
Grant Sareyka drove into the paint, converting a layup for his first points of the night. Later in the half, Sareyka swished a 3-pointer to bring the Chargers back within 10 points. Praylow then connected on his second 3-pointer of the half, cutting the deficit down to 26-19. Neumann responded with 10 straight points to take a 36-19 lead. Sareyka broke up the run, hitting a jump shot from outside the paint. The Knights scored the final six points of the half, to lead 42-22 at the break.

LBC got off to a better start in the second half with
Adam Stoltzfus scoring on the teams' first possession.
Tyler Hilton would then finish a layup, but the Knights seemed to always have an answer, maintaining a 24-point lead. Shewbridge tried to get himself going, slashing to the basket, drawing a foul and completing a three-point play. Later in the half, Wilkins began to heat up from behind the arc, swishing a pair of 3-pointers. Beers then converted a layup to cut the deficit down to 57-40. The Knights halted the Chargers' comeback attempt, scoring 12 straight points. Neumann cruised to a 73-46 victory.
