Chargers Tame Lions for Fourth Straight Win

The Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team won its fourth straight game on Friday night, defeating Bryn Athyn, 104-66 in Bryn Athyn, Pa. The victory propels the Chargers to 6-2 this season, while the Lions dropped to 0-1.

How it Happened: Lancaster Bible opened the contest on a 5-0 run thanks to a 3-pointer from Tyler Norris and a basket in transition from Jordan Shewbridge. The lead grew to 16-5 after a jumper from Andrew Zentner and another triple from Shewbridge, but the Lions hung around early and cut their deficit to 18-13 with just under 12 minutes remaining in the first half.

The teams traded baskets through the middle part of the half, and Lancaster Bible led just 27-23 after a 7-0 run from Bryn Athyn. The Chargers found their footing however, and ran off an 18-5 run capped by Britton Beachy who made it 45-28 after a fastbreak layup. A 3-pointer at the buzzer by Jordan Praylow gave Lancaster Bible a 50-29 lead at the break.

The teams again exchanged baskets to open the second half, as Zentner's layup with 13:23 remaining gave the Chargers a 70-45 advantage. Lancaster Bible grew the lead from that point however, as Ty Erisman scored five straight points later in the half, and Kobe Devine drained two 3-pointers en route to Lancaster Bible's 38 point victory.
