The Lancaster Bible College baseball team saw its losing streak reach four games on Saturday afternoon, as the North Eastern Athletic Conference's best team, Penn St. Harrisburg, ruined Senior Day at Charger Field and swept a doubleheader from the Chargers.

The Nittany Lions took game one, 18-1, and then won game two, 21-12. Lancaster Bible is now 4-4 overall and 4-4 in NEAC play, while the Nittany Lions improved to 12-2 overall and 8-0 in NEAC action.

Game 1
Penn St. Harrisburg 18, Lancaster Bible 1
How it Happened: After a Matt Parks home run got Penn St. Harrisburg on the board in the second inning, the Nittany Lions added five more runs in the third inning, highlighted by a three-run home run by Casey Winters.

Penn St. Harrisburg made it 10-0 in their half of the fourth inning, but Lancaster Bible got on the board in their half of the fourth, as
Ethan Varricchione hit his fourth home run of the season. The Nittany Lions continued to pour it on in the fifth and sixth innings, and won, 18-1.

Inside the Box Score: Lancaster Bible managed just three hits in game one, as Penn St. Harrisburg starter Drew Harshbarger was terrific, and went five innings, and struck out nine, while allowing just two hits…In addition to Varricchione's home run,

Penn St. Harrisburg 21, Lancaster Bible 12
How it Happened: The Penn St. Harrisburg bats continued to stay hot in game two, as the Nittany Lions crushed 11 home runs in the second game of the twin bill. Bret Williams hit the first of this three home runs in the first inning, though the Chargers did cut their deficit to 2-1 in the bottom of the second inning, as
Jaden Pinkney scored on a wild pitch.

The Nittany Lions scored four times in the third inning to make it 6-1, but Pinkney smashed a three-run home run in the bottom of the third, and Lancaster Bible trailed just 6-4 after three innings of play. The Chargers couldn't keep it close however, as the Nittany Lions used home run after home run to build the lead.

After hitting four home runs in the third, the Nittany Lions hit two more in the fourth, including Parks' three-run home run to make it 10-4. Four more Nittany Lions runs came across in the fifth, and Penn St. Harrisburg tacked on six more in the sixth to take a 20-5 lead. Williams' third home run of the day was a grand slam, and he drove in seven runs and scored five in game two.

Lancaster Bible made things a bit interesting in the eighth inning, as the scored six runs to make it 21-12, but couldn't get any more runs across in the ninth.
