The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team flexed it muscles on Saturday with a 9-0 victory over Penn St. Harrisburg to remain perfect in North Eastern Athletic Conference play. The Chargers are now 7-1 overall this season and 3-0 in NEAC play after their victory at Hempfield Rec Center in Landisville, Pa., while the Nittany Lions fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in NEAC action.

Doubles: The No. 1 doubles team of
Devon Clemmer and
Tyler Norris picked up another victory with an 8-4 win on Saturday, while the No. 2 team of
Micah Weaver and
Keven Vallette cruised to an 8-2 victory. The No. 3 team was a new pairing of
AJ Kwiatkowski and
William Hilliard, and the two teamed up for an 8-6 victory over Mohammed Azlmat and Casey Detwiler.

Singles: Clemmer earned his second win of the day with a hard-fought victory at No. 1 singles, as he defeated Nick Rohn, 7-5, 3-6, 6-1. Norris was victorious, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 at No. 2 singles, and Weaver defeated Alex Rohn, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

Malachi Bomgardner earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles, while Vallette returned to the win column at No. 5 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Kwiatkowski continued his perfect run in singles play this season with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles.

News & Notes: Saturday marked the first time in program history the Chargers have defeated Penn St. Harrisburg, and Lancaster Bible is now 1-9 all-time against the Nittany Lions…Lancaster Bible is 4-1 at home this season…The five straight wins tie the program record for consecutive victories, as the 2019 team also won five straight matches…Kwiatkowski is 8-0 in singles play this season.
