The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team will defend its North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship later this week, as the Chargers defeated upset-minded Penn St. Abington in the NEAC Semifinals on Tuesday afternoon. The Chargers defeated Penn St. Abington, 6-3 at Hempfield Rec Center, and in the process won their seventh straight match and improved to 9-1 overall this season. The loss ends the Nittany Lions' season, as they finished the year at 1-4.

Doubles: Lancaster Bible won two of the three doubles matches on Tuesday, as the No. 1 team of
Devon Clemmer and
Tyler Norris earned a key point with an 8-5 victory over Adrian Condes and Philip Belotserkovski. The Chargers picked up their other point thanks to an 8-1 victory by
Keven Vallette and
Micah Weaver at No. 3 doubles. The No. 2 doubles team from Penn St. Abington earned the Nittany Lions' point with an 8-0 victory, as Dhruv Shahane and Andrew Cavanaugh defeated
Malachi Bomgardner and
AJ Kwiatkowski.

Singles: Lancaster Bible earned victories at No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 singles, as
AJ Kwiatkowski won, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles to get the Chargers their first singles point.
Keven Vallette was victorious at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 6-4 to make it 4-2, and
Micah Weaver's 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles clinched the match for Lancaster Bible. Bomgardner also earned a point for the Chargers with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles.

Devon Clemmer fought back to win the second set at No. 1 singles, but couldn't complete the comeback in the super tie-breaker, as he lost, 6-2, 3-6, 10-3.
Tyler Norris suffered a 6-0, 6-0 setback at No. 2 singles.
