The North Eastern Athletic Conference announced its selections for its women's tennis all-conference awards on Thursday morning and four Lancaster Bible College players earned conference honors, including sophomore
Cara DiCiano who was named NEAC Rookie of the Year.
Â
DiCiano was also named to the NEAC All-Conference Second Team at No. 2 singles and she and doubles partner Deana Graber were named to the NEAC All-Conference First Team at the No. 1 doubles position. Joining DiCiano on the NEAC All-Conference Second Team are
Kenedi Berkhimer at No. 4 singles and
Chloe Campbell at No. 6 singles.
Â
Graber and DiCiano are currently 7-2 in doubles action this season, and the pair posted a 3-1 mark in NEAC play as well.
Â
DiCiano is 8-1 in singles play this season, and posted a 3-1 mark in NEAC play. DiCiano has blanked her opponent (6-0) in a set eight times this season, including once on Tuesday in her NEAC Semifinal victory against Penn College.
Â
Berkhimer is 5-4 in singles play this season, including two wins at the No. 3 singles position when teammate
Haylee Fishel was injured.
Â
Like Berkhimer, Campbell posted two wins at a higher position than she normally plays, as she won twice at No. 5 singles while Fishel was injured. Campbell is 6-3 overall this season in singles play, and has now earned NEAC All-Conference honors in both field hockey (2019) and tennis (2021).
Â
The Chargers face Penn St. Harrisburg in the NEAC Final on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Middletown, Pa.
