How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible Field Hockey team fell in a nonconference matchup with Stevenson by a score of 8-0 on Tuesday, September 14.
Stevenson (2-3 Overall) got off to a fast start, scoring in the first minute when Macy Kosanovich found Nicole Ziegler for the first goal of the game. Stevenson would continue to roll scoring three more times in the opening quarter to build a 4-0 lead. The Chargers' defense would rebound fighting off nine corners in the second quarter to stay within striking distance. Stevenson led 4-0 at the break.
The Mustangs were slowed again in the third quarter, being held scoreless for the first 10 minutes of the quarter. Lancaster Bible (1-3 Overall) would put pressure on Stevenson's defense, advancing the ball into the offensive end of the field, but they could not create any quality scoring chances. Stevenson would score three more in the final quarter to secure a 8-0 win.
