How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible Women's Volleyball swept past Cairn University, winning the game in straight sets on Thursday, September 23.
The Chargers jumped out to an early lead, opening the game on a 5-1 run. LBC had a balanced offensive attack with four different players recording eight kills. Leading 9-7, 
Kate Stoltzfus used her powerful serve to spark a 7-1 run, helping LBC take a seven-point lead. The Chargers would ride that momentum to close the set on a 5-0 run with kills from 
Chloe King and 
Morgan Fenstermacher putting an exclamation point on the set.
The roll continued in the second set with 
Cassidy King smashing three early kills to lead the Chargers to a 7-1 lead. Later in the set, 
Sheyenne King would catch fire, matching her sister with three straight kills to spark a 7-1 run. In full control of the set, 
Leah Helman perfectly placed three straight service aces as the Chargers powered to a 25-11 set victory.
The Chargers went to their bench in the third set, getting some younger players an opportunity. 
Brittany Martin took full advantage of the opportunity, slamming six kills in her first college action. Trailing 9-7 in the third set, the Chargers offense would click, going on an 11-1 run to take control of the set. During the run Stoltzfus had a pair of service aces and libero 
Suzanna Rouse got into the act offensively, providing a kill. The Chargers would hold on to the lead with 
Chloe King capping of the win with a thunderous kill.
