How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey team fell in their Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opener to defending champions Wilson by a score of 6-0 on Tuesday, September 28.

The Chargers' (1-7 Overall, 0-1 CSAC) defense was under pressure from the start, as Wilson (10-0 Overall, 2-0 CSAC) pushed the attack looking to create scoring chances. LBC had to fend off 12 first half shots, with goalkeeper Alexis Garrett making seven saves. The Phoenix eventually would break through, scoring twice in the first quarter to open a 2-0 lead. Wilson would tack on a third goal in the second quarter, holding a 3-0 lead at the break.

Lancaster Bible's defense would keep the team in striking distance, pitching a shutout in the third quarter. Haley Stahl and Kayla Willing each made a defensive save to keep Wilson from adding on to the lead. Wilson would finally put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter, scoring three times in the first three minutes to secure the victory.
