Gray Scores Four Times As Chargers Down Knights

How It Happened 
The Lancaster Bible Field Hockey picked their first win of the season, defeating Southern Virginia by a score of 7-1 on Saturday September 4 in Harrisonburg, Va. 

The Chargers got off to fast start, striking five minutes into the game. After earning a penalty corner, Alexis Gilbert scored her first career goal, giving LBC the early lead. Two minutes later Molly Gray scored her first career goal, putting the Chargers ahead 2-0. Lancaster Bible continued to control possession, consistently putting pressure on the Knight throughout the second quarter. With under two minutes remaining in the half, Gray would strike again, putting LBC ahead 3-0. 

In the third quarter, both teams traded scoring opportunities throughout the first 10 minutes of the quarter. Gilbert would strike for the second time, making the score 4-0. Hannah Hoffman scored two minutes into the fourth quarter. This was also Hoffman's first career goal. Gray would tack on two more goals as LBC cruised to the 7-1 victory.

Inside the Numbers 
- Molly Gray led the offense, scoring her first four collegiate goals
- Alexis Gilbert scored a pair of goals, they were her first career goals
- Hannah Hoffman also found the back of the net, her first career goal
- Starting Goalkeeper Alexis Garrett picked up first win, making three saves and allowing only one goal

Who's Next? 
The Field Hockey team will make up their canceled game with Neumann on Tuesday September 7 at 4:30 p.m. at Donald H. Funk Field
