Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Hunter Gerber

Women’s Soccer Picks Up Non-Conference Win at Keystone

The Lancaster Bible women's soccer team looked to build off their momentum from Saturday's 6-0 win in a non-conference matchup at Keystone College on Monday night. The Chargers would do just that, winning 1-0 and putting their overall record to 6-6 on the 2022 season.

How It Happened: The Chargers would open the game with a quick goal as junior Rachel Dickinson would take a through ball from Naomi Ewing in the middle of the field and place a kick outside the top of the box into the goal in just the eighth minute of the game. This was her third goal of the season and the only goal of the night.

The Chargers would control the game offensively from there on out, placing a total of twelve shots on goal and marking six corner kicks. The Charger defense would also limit any Keystone opportunities, allowing only two shots for the game. The win on Monday night marks their sixth of the season as they look to make an end-of-the-season push.

From the Coach: "Today was our best defensive performance of the season. We also created a lot of chances and fortunately got a big goal from Rachel." – Head Coach Jake Warren

By the Numbers: The Chargers would hold the advantage in both shots and corners with 20 and six respectively… Dickinson would be the lone score marking her third of the season.

Up Next: The Chargers will be able to use this week for some critical rest as they look to make one more United East push. The Chargers will resume play this Saturday, October 15th at Penn St. Abington with kickoff at 1 p.m.
