How it Happened
The Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey team suffered their first CSAC loss of the season, falling to Cedar Crest College by a score of 5-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers are now 1-1 in conference play with four CSAC games remaining.

The Falcons (6-7, 3-2 CSAC) jumped out to an early lead, scoring just over a minute into the game. The Chargers (3-9, 1-1 CSAC) tried to make some pushes, but Cedar Crest dominated the possession for the majority of the game. They added another goal about halfway through the first period, finishing out with a 2-0 lead. LBC was able to limit Cedar Crest's shot attempts in the second quarter and drew some penalty corners on the offensive end. The Falcons put one past goalie
Amanda Hoover though, with the halftime score being 3-0.

The Chargers defense came up big in the third quarter, not allowing any goals despite several threats from the Falcons' front line. The fourth quarter saw a pair of Cedar Crest scores, one at the beginning and one towards the end of the period. The Chargers did have one good opportunity, but came up empty, losing by a final score of 5-0.

The field hockey team will play their final home contest of the season on Tuesday, October 18
th against Notre Dame of Maryland University in CSAC play. That game is scheduled to start at 4:30pm.
